PETROCHEMISTRY
Petrochemistry is the branch of chemistry that studies the transformation of crude oil (petroleum) and natural gas into useful products or raw materials. Millions of tons of products are produced every year with petroleum such as plastics, fuels, and even clothes. It is safe to say that without the petrochemical industry and use of petroleum, our world would be vastly different from what it is today.
